Peter: I’m in the Avengers too! I’m on both freakin’ teams! You’re training teen super heroes? I was the original teenage super hero! And I have a teacher’s license! I taught kids for a living!
Hank: You did? This changes everything. You’re the ideal choice! These are at-risk kids, and you’ve already made virtually every mistake a young hero possibly could.
Peter: Huh? Like what?
Hank: Well, your ill-advised professional wrestling career…allowing yourself to be branded a menace, which seems to have stuck…the spider mobile…we use you as an example of what not—
Peter: Okay! Let’s leave it at “ideal choice” and move on.

Amazing Spider-Man #661
Dr. Pym.. Spider-Man was great. He didn’t treat us like kids, or bombs that could go off any minute or these fragile things you have to walk on eggshells around. He treated us like people. People who can go out in the field… and who can take responsibility for their actions. He treated us like heroes.
