Jeanne: Don’t be, it wasn’t you. Seeing you like this.. so innocent.. you bring back memories of what you were. And for that.. I’m grateful.
Humberto: Am I really that different? When I grow up?
Jeanne: We all are. It’s not some big, sudden thing. Just a lifetime of choices.. mistakes, compromises, failures act.. Things that can’t be taken back or undone.
Humberto: I don’t believe that. There are always choices. Maybe not the ones you want, or wish you’d made. But you have them. Deciding to stay mad… Not even trying to fix things.. that’s a choice too. I get there are reasons it wouldn’t work. If he’s abusive, or a drug addict, or.. I don’t know.. a serial killer. But that’s not what I’m hearing. Just now you remembered what it was like when we were young. He’s seeing it, too. maybe when he gets back, the two of you could.. hold on to that..
Jeanne: I..do you really think..
